Dubai is a must see destination…..The first thing people think of when they hear Dubai is that it is like an Arabian Las Vegas. That is not a good description, it is a soulful vibrant city with many new innovations and just as many savored traditions. I flew on Emirates in Business class which was an incredible experience from great food to lie flat seats and service. This was such a luxury on such a long flight. My trip was led by the Dubai Tourism office and one of the highlights of the trip was to have a traditional Emirati Lunch with an Arab Culturalist and learn about the country and culture. A few of the highlights included the Dubai Frame which is an observatory of the New and Old Dubai, the largest building in the world the Burj Kalifa and a cannot miss trip to the desert for dune bashing and camel riding. These attractions are must see! I stayed at the Mandarin Oriental which is on the beach, the Address Downtown Dubai and the beautiful Al Maha, Luxury Collection by Marriott in the desert. Swimming in the Persian Gulf in front of the Burj Al Arab was a highlight. Dubai is a great destination whether for a week or longer and combine Abu Dhabi or a stopover on your way to India or the Seychelles!
